My name is Lisa Poletto and I am an Italian girl. I have been attending the Missouri Valley College since last year, when I decided to move to the United States – precisely to Marshall (MO) – in order to study marketing and become an event planner. Also, I am really proud to have become a member of the Honors Program, which gave me the opportunity to create this blog.
I love reading books because they have the power of transform the reader’s mind. I like playing and watching sports, above all ice skating. When I am in the rink, I forget about everything and I just feel myself in an unique harmony with the ice.
Moreover, I love sharing those moments with the people I love in which we are drinking a tea or eating a macaron and I can see the smiles of my loved ones; but I also like many other things such as fashion, shopping, design, traveling etc.
Nevertheless, when I came back to Italy this Christmas, I realized that the best place ever to live, it is the one where my loved ones are. I came back home and I saw I was different, because I spoke with everybody without fear of doing something wrong. It is true: trips change people. I lived every day like it was the last one. Therefore, my advice is: travel, meet new people, talk with them but do never forget who you are and where you come from.
